Tamara Cohen (owner and head coach at Asheville Strength and Conditioning) and I (Nick Horton, owner, head coach at PDX Weightlifting) are putting together the seminar to end all seminars for beginners needing to learn as much as humanly possible on the Olympic Lifts – the snatch and clean and jerk – in as short a time as humanly possible … in other words … people just like YOU.
To get started we’re going to run a “beta tester” trial version at CrossFit Durham, in Durham, NC on the weekend of June 30th to workout any kinks and get feedback from the participants so that we can make sure that everything is rockin’ the way we want it to rock.

Tamara and I make our living taking people from clueless to their first Olympic weightlifting contests … FAST.
We both strongly believe that beginners like you can learn FAR more in a well planned 2-day seminar than most are offering, and that is exactly what we aim to give you: The ultimate Olympic weightlifting weekend experience.
While you are going to learn a ton of technique, you are also going to go well beyond that. Becoming good at the snatch, the clean, and the jerk is far less like squatting, and far more like playing the piano than you might imagine.
We both take this fact very seriously. And by the end of these two days, you will understand why.
